Cookie note
A cookie is a small note a site asks your browser to keep. This drawing room uses very few. You may accept or reject the non-essential ones; the maps, rates, and contact note still work if you reject.
What cookies are
They are short text files, or similar storage, that a site stores in your browser so it can remember a choice or count a visit. They are not the mapping plates, and they are not your waybills.
What we use
Essential. The banner stores your accept or reject choice in local storage under the key routeVectorhub_cookieConsent. That storage is treated here as a cookie-like note. It lasts until you clear the browser’s site data. Provider: this site (Route Vectorhub Analytics). Purpose: remember that you have already been asked, so the banner does not return on every page.
Analytics. We do not presently set a third-party analytics cookie. If that changes, this table will name it before it is used, and the banner will treat it as non-essential.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| routeVectorhub_cookieConsent | Stores accept or reject so the banner can stay down | Until you clear site data | Route Vectorhub Analytics (this site) |
How to manage or disable cookies
Use Accept or Reject on the banner. Rejecting does not hide mapping work, rates, the atlas, or the contact note. You may also clear site data in your browser settings, or use the browser’s cookie controls. After clearing, the banner will appear again.
Third-party cookies
Pages may request typefaces from Google Fonts and pictures from Unsplash, Pexels, or Wikimedia. Those hosts may receive your IP address and standard request headers. They may set their own cookies according to their own notes. We do not control those notes. The contact form posts only to this site’s /api/mock.json.
If you disable cookies
The banner may reappear. Your accept/reject choice will not persist. Commissioning a study by email or telephone is unaffected.
Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in the privacy note.
